The aviation industry is at an all-time high due to the relaxation of the COVID-19 rules and regulations, particularly in the United Kingdom. Over the past couple of years, the airline industry has suffered due to the pandemic, as most people were either not allowed to travel or didn’t want to because of the procedures needed to enter certain countries. That saw people travelling nationally, therefore leading to a loss of money for many airlines.
But since the gradual reopening of most countries, the airline industry has had a huge boost, with major airline TUI reporting holidays are up 19% compared to pre-pandemic figures. This is partly down to families booking higher quality holidays due to the wait they have had to get abroad.
Without refuelling, those aircraft wouldn’t be able to get you to the sunny beaches of Greece. This is where EWFM comes into play. We offer equipment specifically designed to cater to all of the defence and aviation industries. Within the equipment we offer, we have aviation nozzles, couplings, and other accessories. Today we will be focusing more on the nozzles. In our current range, we offer the G180 and G457 nozzles, which are designed for the refuelling of aircraft and helicopters.
The G180 refuelling nozzle has replaced the G457-240 nozzle, which has been used by the Ministry of Defence in the UK for many years. It is lightweight, comfortable to operate, and rugged. Also, it has spout system is designed to give the operator the choice of which spout suits their aircraft and to change it within seconds. Additionally, a soft-close feature that allows the operator to control the flow of fuel. The G180 has a variety of spout configurations, inlets, handle guards, and dust caps to suit your operation.
The nozzle was designed because a nozzle was need to fill aircraft while the turbines and avionics were running was identified as a necessity. This led to the G457 being created, which allows for a rapid turn around of the aircraft safely. It can also be used in all sorts of climates and temperatures. It has a high level shut off, therefore protecting the operator and aircraft from spillage when the tanks are full. It is manufactured in anodised aluminium with either a straight or curved spout.
In the past, we have supplied the Ministry of Defence in the UK with these nozzles. These nozzles have been tried and tested, and they have an excellent reputation for safety and reliability. If the G180 or G457 nozzle is exactly what you are looking for, then get in contact with our sales team who will be happy to assist you.
