This Drop Pipe Contact Switch is installed to allow the arm to load. The switch is mounted on the top of the drop tube and then runs through the bore and under the T-deflector. When the drop tube presses on the bottom of the tank the mechanical switch gives a signal to allow loading. These are for use with top loading arms only.
This Switch is used to ensure the arm is fully lowered into the tanker before loading begins.
We can offer loading arms equipped with electrical components to signal many different positions or conditions. Signals can be given with the use of either electro-mechanical microswitches or proximity switches.
Both types of switches have ATEX certification.
