Description
Cryogenic Couplings
First of all the Cryogenic Couplings have been designed for use with LNG & Nitrogen products which operate at temperatures of (-163 Deg C) & (-196 Deg C) where safety, ease of use & reliability are of highest importance. The Cryogenic Coupling is made up of two parts. A Hose Unit & a Tank Unit.
Operation is a single action using a straight forward turning motion to connect the couplings and open the flow path. An initial push and turn action on the hose unit provides engagement with the tank unit, thus locking and sealing the two units together. As a result further rotation opening the internal valves, thereby allowing full flow with a minimum of pressure drop.
Applications
Fuel bunkering
Loading and Unloading of Rail Cars, Tank Trucks and Container discharge
These are also available with a selectivity code to avoid cross contamination between products.
Materials
Stainless Steel
Sizes
The Cryogenic couplings are available in sizes 1 inch to 8 inch.
Benefits of Dry Disconnect Couplings
First of all they are easy to use in all weathers
No spill
Easy to maintain because they have minimal spares to replace
Furthermore the valve cannot be opened until the unit is coupled and closes automatically when disconnecting.
