Last week, EWFM made its return to a trade show. Due to the pandemic over the last few years, exhibitions and trade shows have all been either cancelled or virtual. However, due to the easing of restrictions, UKIFDA was finally able to return to Liverpool to hold the UK and Ireland Fuel Distributors Association (UKIFDA). The show was held over two days on the 27th and 28th of May 2022. It saw 89 companies from all parts of the world come together and connect with each other again.
Our marketing assistant, Ben Adamson, has reviewed his time at the show.
The UKIFDA Show 2022:
The UKIFDA show was my first exhibition with the company. Since I joined EWFM, one of my first projects was to design and organise the stand. It was a long process before eventually getting to Liverpool. On Tuesday 26th May, myself and the rest of the EWFM team packed up and set off for Liverpool. It took around three and a half hours from the EWFM office. We arrived around 12pm, which was perfect timing as one of our sample products, a bottom loading arm, was just arriving as well. The rest of the day was spent putting together all the elements of the stand so that it was ready for the event.
The next two days were the actual show. The doors opened at 9:30 with the EWFM team ready and waiting. We were a bit hesitant about the numbers due to COVID still lingering around, but both days were busy with a steady flow of people coming over and talking to us. Our stand had a bit of everything on it, including sample swivel joints, couplings, nozzles, drum filling heads and much more. Although we were up on our feet for two consecutive days, those two days seemed to go by quite quickly.
Overall, I think the show was a success for EWFM. We met many existing and potentially new customers. On a personal level, I was very pleased with how the stand turned out as it was my first trade show for the company. I’m looking forward to future shows that we will be attending.
UKIFDA isn’t the only show that EWFM will be attending in 2022. The company will also be exhibiting at The Tank Storage Conference and Exhibition, which is the UK’s leading event for the bulk liquid storage sector. The exhibition will take place at the Coventry Building Society Arena, Coventry, on the 22nd of September 2022. We hope to see many of you there!
