EWFM proudly offers an expansive selection of MannTek Breakaway Couplings, strategically designed to prevent pull-away accidents, safeguard terminal and loading/unloading equipment, and mitigate unintended product release.
Within our current range, we provide Industrial, Marine, and Cryogenic Breakaway Couplings, each available in either Breaking Pin or Cable Release variations.
The Breaking Pin Breakaway Coupling employs three calculated breaking pins as its core mechanism. Each pin possesses a predetermined weak point that breaks upon reaching a specified force, tailored for individual applications. To trigger the breakaway, the pin’s strength must be surpassed, which can occur due to factors such as internal pressure, bending, and pulling forces (Industrial type) or solely pulling forces (Marine type).
In the Cable Release variation, the coupling disengages upon pulling a wire linked to a ring that holds the components together. The release force is relatively independent of internal pressure, pulling, or bending forces. This variant is commonly employed on loading arms or scenarios where a wire shorter than the hose can be practically arranged during installation.
