The Single Arm Floating Suction Unit is designed to draw fuel from just below the liquid’s surface, ensuring cleaner fuel by avoiding surface scum and bottom sediment. Ideal for tanks where the height is less than the diameter, it enhances water separator efficiency and prolongs cartridge life. Optional configurations accommodate fixed or floating roofs, with trolley systems available for floating roof applications.
The Single Arm Floating Suction Unit is ideal for tanks where the height is less than the diameter. It is designed to draw fuel approximately 500mm below the surface, ensuring the cleanest fuel is extracted while avoiding surface scum and contaminants.
The unit’s suction depth can be adjusted depending on the tank size, with a leg installed to prevent fuel being drawn from the bottom, where it may contain water or sediment. This design helps extend the life of water separator cartridges and improves their efficiency.
For tanks with a floating roof, the Floating Suction Unit can be fitted with an optional fixed or floating roof system. Instead of top floats, a trolley system is used to accommodate the roof’s movement, allowing the unit to rise and fall smoothly as the tank fills or empties.
