Its trapezoidal PU foam sections, encased in durable nylon and synthetic rubber, adapt to the tank wall for consistent sealing. Top-access installation and maintenance minimise downtime, supporting efficient, long-lasting tank operation.
Description
The Primary Delta Seal (DLT) is suitable for use on both external and internal floating roofs, providing reliable sealing across a wide range of tank sizes, from 6.0 m to 91.0 m in diameter. It is compatible with the full spectrum of crude and refined products.
The seal’s design allows installation and removal solely from the top of the roof, simplifying maintenance and reducing downtime. Sealing is achieved using trapezoidal sections of specially formulated PU foam, which are adhered to an internal steel support plate. These foam blocks are fully encapsulated in a nylon casing coated with synthetic rubber, combining flexibility with durability.
The exterior envelope is reinforced with a fabric layer and a highly abrasion-resistant coating, ensuring gentle yet effective contact with the tank wall. As the Primary Delta Seal (DLT) comes into direct contact with the stored liquid, it provides a highly efficient barrier, minimising product loss and maintaining tight vapour control.
