Constructed from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, they withstand methanol’s aggressive nature. Each system includes a hose unit and a tank unit forming a leak-proof seal. Optional safety features such as colour coding, locking devices, and dust caps enhance usability, efficiency, and operator protection.

Description

Methanol Breakaway Couplings are essential safety devices designed to protect personnel, equipment, and the environment during the transfer of methanol. In the event of accidental pull-away or excessive force, these couplings automatically disconnect, preventing hazardous spills and ensuring a safe, controlled shutdown of the transfer process.

Available in two versions:

Cable Release Type: Operates via an external cable system that triggers disconnection when a preset tension is exceeded. This option is ideal for applications requiring precise control over the release mechanism.

Breaking Pins Type: Utilises shear pins that break under a predetermined load, providing a simple and effective automatic disconnection in overload situations.

Constructed from high-grade stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials, Methanol Breakaway Couplings are designed for long-term durability, reliable performance, and easy maintenance. These couplings are a critical addition to any methanol transfer system, minimising downtime, reducing the risk of spills, and enhancing overall operational safety.
