Full Bore Safety Breakaway Couplings

Full-Bore Safety Breakaway Couplings, also known as Emergency Release Couplings, provide non-destructive, safe, and spill-free separation of hoses used during loading and unloading operations. They are designed to protect people, equipment and the environment by preventing spills in the event of unintentional movement, such as a road tanker, rail car, aircraft, or the drift of a barge or vessel during transfer. Separation is triggered by a simple pulling force on the hose line, making these couplings suitable for use with both liquids and gases.

Full-Bore Safety Breakaway Couplings consists of two halves (Adaptor and Inline), both fitted with zero head loss closure valves. The coupling is secured by clamping lever connections, allowing for rapid hook-up. When a pulling force occurs, both closure valves automatically close, preventing product loss while protecting operators, equipment, and loading stations. This design combines safety, reliability and ease of use, making it ideal for a wide range of loading and unloading applications.
