Positioned near the tank surface, Floating Decanter Arms draw clarified water while preventing floating solids, oils, and scum from escaping. Custom-designed with openings or weirs, they ensure precise water collection at set depths. Acting also as scum baffles, these arms enhance water quality, maintain clarifier efficiency, and direct treated water for further processing or safe discharge.

Description

The Floating Decanter Arm is a key component in water treatment systems, used in clarifiers and settling tanks. They efficiently remove clarified water while separating solids and debris.

In a settling tank, water containing suspended solids enters the system. Heavier particles settle to the bottom, while clearer water rises to the top. The Floating Decanter Arm is positioned near the surface to collect this clarified water.

These arms are custom-made for each application and feature openings or weirs along their length. They draw water from a set depth, ensuring only clean effluent is removed. The collected water is then directed out of the tank for further treatment or safe discharge.

Floating Decanter Arms also act as scum baffles. They prevent floating debris, oils, and lighter materials from leaving with the effluent. This improves overall water quality and maintains the efficiency of the clarifier.

By optimising water removal and reducing contamination, Floating Decanter Arms play a vital role in water treatment processes. They are essential for producing high-quality treated water and maintaining plant performance.
