The Double Arm Floating Suction Unit is designed for taller tanks, drawing fuel from just below the liquid’s surface to ensure cleaner fuel and prevent contamination. Its dual-arm design, featuring a style 40 Swivel Joint, allows extended reach within the tank. A support leg prevents drawing sediment-heavy fuel, enhancing water separator efficiency. Optional fixed or floating roof configurations with trolley systems are also available.
The Double Arm Floating Suction Unit is designed for tanks where the height exceeds the diameter. It draws fuel roughly 500mm below the surface, ensuring the cleanest fuel is extracted while avoiding surface scum and contaminants.
Midway up the unit, a style 40 swivel joint with two 90-degree elbows allows the arm to extend to the top of the tank, overcoming the height limitations of a single arm design. The Double Arm Floating Suction Unit can also include a leg depending on the tank size to prevent fuel being drawn from the bottom, where water or sediment may accumulate. This ensures the purest fuel is collected while extending the life and efficiency of water separator cartridges.
For tanks with a floating roof, an optional fixed or floating roof system can be fitted. In this case, a trolley system replaces top floats, allowing the unit to rise and fall smoothly as the roof moves during filling or emptying.
