However, by far the most common requirement from our customers is our Folding Step Unit.
What are they and what type of Step Units do you offer?
Folding Step Units provide a vital role for businesses in ensuring a safe working environment is provided for workers who need access to heights. With falling from heights remaining the highest cause of fatal injuries in the workplace in the UK, it is vital we help our customers get this right. At EWFM we can offer both Manually and Pneumatically operated Step Units.
Do you offer a range of sizes?
We understand that not all businesses requirements will be the same so our step units are available in a range of sizes. Both our Manual & Pneumatic Step Units are available with 2, 3, 4 or 5 steps. The Pneumatic Units are also available with up to 7 steps. Both are available as standard in widths of 800, 1000, and 1200mm, whilst our Pneumatic Units are also available in a 1500mm width. Larger widths and bespoke designs are also available upon request.
What safety features do you offer?
Safety is always our number one focus which is why handrails are supplied on all of our step units and is why we offer a fixed safety cage as an optional extra on all units. These provide extra safety and help prevent operators accidently falling during loading operations. We can also provide signal switches – which enable gates, etc to stay shut until the step units reach pre set locations, helping to avoid further accidents.
Can you offer bespoke designs?
We most certainly can. When situations are not straight forward, we would normally visit your site to go through your requirement with you. However, with that not possible at present we are able to offer video conference facilities so we can ensure the end solution is perfect for your needs.
Can you install these step units yourself?
Yes, you can. Whilst we are able to offer an install service (for an additional cost) most of our customers are able to install the step units themselves.
Do you supply just to the UK?
No, like all of our products we are able to deliver all of our Folding Step Units and range of Access Systems to locations all over the world.
