Following a management buyout from Syltone, EW Fuel Management was established as an independent company. Operating from our Jarman Way base, we began our journey by supplying loading arms and fuelling equipment, setting the foundation for the business we are today.

EW Fuel Management expands its product range with the introduction of Standard Swivel Joints. Available in a variety of configurations, these components quickly became a cornerstone of our portfolio, setting the stage for our reputation in versatile and reliable fuelling solutions

As our loading arms gained popularity, there was increasing demand for safe and easy access to the tops of tankers and railcars. In response, EW Fuel Management introduced Folding Stairs, providing a practical solution that made high-level filling operations safer and more efficient.

As EWFM continued to grow, we needed more space to support our expanding operations. This led to our move to new offices on Kneesworth Street, which remain our home today and have allowed us to continue developing our business and supporting our customers.

EWFM introduces its range of Floating Suction Units, designed to make fuel transfer safer, smoother, and more efficient. These innovative units quickly became a key solution for customers looking to improve high-level and tank operations.

After a good few years of selling loading arms we realised there was huge opportunity for filling other containers. Our factories expanded to begin manufacturing Nozzles and Drum Filling Heads. A range that quickly saw us selling into not only Chemical, Oil and Gas Industries but we soon entered the Pharmaceutical, Food and Drink.

After months of development and hard work, EWFM supplied 10″ and 18″ Subsea Swivel Joints that were successfully deployed on vessels operating in the challenging waters off the coast of Brazil, providing reliable performance in demanding subsea conditions.

EWFM became an official distributor of MannTek’s Coupling and Breakaway Coupling ranges, enabling safer and more efficient connections for fuelling operations.

Guy Curtis joins EWFM as a trainee sales engineer and, through dedication and hard work, steadily progressed through the ranks. Today, he leads the company as Managing Director, shaping the growth and vision of the company.

EWFM expands its Swivel Joint range with large-bore units, progressing from 20″ up to an impressive 72″ bore. These high-capacity swivel joints opened up new possibilities for handling larger scale operations.

EWFM secured, and would later deliver, a major project supplying five 40″ Floating Suction Units to the Middle East. These units were installed in reservoirs supplying fresh drinking water, highlighting EWFM’s capability to provide large-scale, essential solutions for critical infrastructure.

EWFM expanded its storage tank equipment range with the introduction of Tank Seals. These seals provide a secure, leak-resistant barrier at the top of storage tanks, helping to prevent spills, reduce emissions, and maintain safe and efficient fuel handling operations.

EWFM expanded its product range with the introduction of Marine Loading Arms, designed to provide safe, efficient, and reliable transfer of liquids between vessels and shore facilities. These additions enabled us to serve maritime operations, offering robust solutions for a variety of offshore and onshore applications.

EWFM expanded its Safety Access Systems range to meet growing operational demands. New additions included wide sliding folding stairs, custom-built safety cages, vertical elevated tanker loading platforms, and much more.

EWFM celebrates 25 years of delivering fuelling and storage solutions. To mark this milestone, we have launched a fresh, modern brand identity and a new website, reflecting our commitment to innovation, growth, and continuing to serve customers with excellence for years to come.
