Its weighted pantograph system and flexible seal sheets conform to tank shell movements for consistent contact, while a raised sealing ring drains water away. Integrated shunts maintain electrical continuity, enhancing overall tank safety and compliance.

Description
Designed to maintain a secure, vapour-tight barrier between the tank shell and floating roof, the Primary Pantograph Primary Seal PT1 minimises product loss and emissions while ensuring rainwater drains correctly. It is suitable for large tanks storing both crude and refined products, delivering reliable sealing performance across a wide range of operating conditions.
Flexures built into the seal sheets at approximately 550 mm intervals allow the sealing ring to conform to the tank shell and accommodate expansion and contraction. A weighted pantograph system keeps the ring in constant contact with the shell for consistent sealing effectiveness.
The sealing ring extends into the product to retain vapours and projects above the rim so water runs off onto the pontoon. The space between the sealing ring and the roof is closed by a flexible, continuous vapour-tight seal material. Shunts at 3 m intervals or less maintain electrical continuity between the roof and the tank shell, further enhancing the performance of the Primary Pantograph Primary Seal PT1 and improving overall tank safety.
