Well what can we say about 2019! I think we can safely state that Brexit impacted the UK for the majority of the year. It affected the value of the pound, caused a leadership battle within the conservative party resulting in a new leader and their subsequent re-election in December.
Climate change and global warming re-emerged as a major issue in particular within our younger population. On the 25th July the UK experienced its hottest day on record with a temperature of 38.7 degrees recorded just down the road from us in Cambridge, followed a week later with extreme floods in Derbyshire, it gave the country food for thought. The extremes of temperature and their probable causes adding to the already contentious voice of Extinction Rebellion.
The start of 2020 has seen worldwide issues overshadow those on the Homefront. U.S. and Iranian tensions run high which will no doubt impact on the price of oil in the weeks ahead. Fires continue to rage in Australia causing widespread devastation. However, with the European Football Championships & the Tokyo Olympics to come later in the year, there will certainly be an entertaining and hopefully enjoyable summer of sport ahead of us. Also, with the US Presidential elections to come at the end of the year 2020 promises to be another interesting year.
So, what does 2020 hold in store for EWFM? What we can say is that we will continue to build on a successful 2019. With hard work and commitment from the team we will endeavour to build on the 5% increase in enquiry numbers, to increase the number of countries we sell to (56 in 2019) and to pass our 29th consecutive ISO 9001-2015 Audit successfully.
As with previous years, EWFM will continue to work closely with its customers, to understand their requirements and to provide the perfect solution. As our customer base continues to grow across all seven continents, EWFM will be here to support you at each critical step.

We will continue to look at ways of expanding our product range to meet the growing and changing requirements of our customers and the industries we service. Expect further developments here throughout the year.
Following on from a successful Exhibition in 2019 we will be returning to exhibit at the Tank Storage Association Exhibition in September at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry. We are also currently planning on attending,
- Stock Expo in Rotterdam in March
- Chem UK in Manchester in May
- FPS Show in Liverpool in June.
