Gin and Whisky sales keep going up!

With the Gin and Whisky distilling industry experiencing continued growth year on year, 53 new distilleries opening in the UK in 2016. At EWFM we have seen greater demand for our equipment from our ever growing customer base. Whisky

As the biggest food and drink export in the UK (at over £4 billion in 2016) a thriving whisky market is crucial for the UK. Scotch whisky is in high demand all around the world as the map below shows which has led to new distilleries opening across the UK. In Scotland alone at least 30 have opened over the last few years. Gin

The growing popularity of gin has led to an increase in the demand for it and has seen more gin distilleries starting up. Over the last six years, the number of gin distilleries in the UK has risen by over 50%. Gin distilleries chartBy the end of 2015, there were 233 licensed UK producers. In 2016, dubbed the ‘Year of Gin’ by the Wine and Spirit Trade Association , UK sales of gin broke the £1 billion sales mark for the first time, with exports having increased by over 33% in the past 5 years.

  • British gin is now sold in 139 Countries worldwide
  • UK export of gin to USA has risen by over 500% in the last decade
  • 28 G&Ts are consumed each year for every person of drinking age

Engineered Delivery Nozzle

  • Designed for filling a wide variety of fluids into storage containers such as IBCs, drums and casks
  • Choose between a Manual Dispensing Nozzle or an Automatic Nozzle.
  • Available in sizes 0.5”, 1”, 1.5” and 2”
  • Generally supplied in Stainless Steel (other materials available upon request)
  • FDA Seals

Engineered Delivery Nozzles

Drum Filling Head

  • Used for filling drums, IBCs, totes, barrels and casks.
  • Available in sizes 0.5”, 1”, 1.5” and 2”
  • FDA Seals
  • It is generally supplied with one product port and one vapour port.
  • Materials available include Stainless Steel (other materials available upon request)
  • Automatic Level Sensor and fitted with an Endress & Hauser tuning fork overfill level sensor to provide a signal for liquid shut-off when wired to your system/pump.
