The NEC in Birmingham was buzzing just a few weeks ago with the excitement of ChemUK 2024! Our team was there in full force, eager to show visitors and fellow exhibitors how EWFM can provide technical engineered solutions for the Chemical Industry. From groundbreaking new technologies to insightful discussions with experts, ChemUK was a whirlwind tour of innovation.

Introduction to the show:
For those new to our blog, let’s briefly recap what ChemUK is all about. This premier event in the UK caters to the chemical, laboratory, and process industries. Spread across three distinct zones, ChemUK offered a comprehensive showcase with relevant exhibitors in each area. These zones included the Chemicals Supply & Chemicals Management Show Zone, the Chemical Laboratory Show Zone, and the Process & Chemical Engineering Show Zone.
The event itself took place over two days, from May 15th to 16th, at the NEC in Birmingham.
Reviewing our Two Days at the NEC:
Our team’s journey began on Tuesday as they loaded the van and set off to set up the exhibition stand. After a few hours of fine-tuning the presentation for our debut, the stand was finally ready to welcome visitors the next morning.
Excitement and a touch of nervousness filled the air as the team arrived at the NEC on Wednesday. They weren’t sure what to expect, but those feelings quickly dissipated as the doors opened, and a flood of visitors filled the aisles. This steady stream continued throughout the two days, particularly at the EWFM stand, where visitors consistently approached to learn how we could assist their companies.
The vast majority of visitors who approached our stand were genuinely interested in our offerings and sought specific advice. It wasn’t just about our eye-catching jar of blue and white bon bons! This jar was actually part of a fun competition where visitors guessed the number of sweets inside. After a range of guesses, some impressively close and others, let’s say, ambitious, Andrew Tither from Exloc Instruments emerged victorious. His fantastic guess, landing only 7 sweets off the actual total, earned him a luxurious Harrods Champagne Gift Box!
Beyond networking, the event also featured informative conferences with over 150 speakers addressing the hottest topics, challenges, and opportunities within the chemical, laboratory, and process industries.
