This week see’s the introduction of The Mobile Step Unit, a fantastic new product to add to EWFM’s access systems range. Why the Mobile Step Unit? An excellent question. We needed a solution when the space available is at a premium and where a fixed unit would not be viable. The idea for a Mobile Step Unit, something that can be rolled into place with wheels was born.
About the Mobile Step Unit:
Like all of our products the Mobile Step Unit is manufactured of the highest quality with a strong focus on a long lasting design even in the most harsh environments. The unit is ideal for gaining a safe access for tanker loading or any high level vehicle maintenance applications. A safety cage is included to protect the operator from the highest cause of injury in a workplace, falling from heights.
So, other than the stairs and the safety cage, what are the main features of this new product:
- Designed according to BS5395: Part 3
- Constructed in galvanised mild steel with a powdered aluminium safety cage
- Cage fully wrapped for optimal safety
- Hand winch installed for height adjustability
- Heavy-duty swivelling and lockable wheels
- Adjustable ladder with safety railings and non slip steps
On to our standard dimensions which are pictured below. We specialize in engineered designs, these dimensions can be tailored to suit customer needs. Don’t hesitate to send us a challenge.
When not in use the Mobile Step Unit is retracted and pushed away to it’s stored location. Its lightweight design and high quality wheels make it really easy to manoeuvre. With a smooth adjustable ladder we hope many new clients use the stairs for multiple use, whether its to access a variety of tankers or a fixed gantry.
Some other access applications include:
- Barrel Tankers
- ISO Tankers
- High-level Maintenance Platforms
- Mezzanine Floors
- Variable Height Platforms
I think that just about covers it, the main features anyway. For more information why don’t you roll into our emails at [email protected] or give us a call on +44 (0) 1763 248650 our sales team will be happy to assist you further.
