Collaborating to bring their vision to life is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do.This past project is a great example. Our customer needed a bottom-loading system for various tankers, capable of handling corrosive PH3 media safely and efficiently. Time was critical, all components had to be delivered within 6–7 weeks. We delivered on time, fully equipped and tested.Let’s take a closer look at how we helped build this system from the ground up.The goal? Create a robust loading arm system for bottom-filling tanker trucks. The system needed to:
- Handle varying truck positions
- Manage high flow rates
- Resist corrosion from PH3
- Be delivered within a tight timeline
We partnered with the customer to provide a suite of components tailored for performance, flexibility, and durability.What We Supplied:

Swivel Joints – Easy Handling for Heavy-Duty Flow
Supplied in a range of sizes from 10” down to 6″, our Swivel Joints were designed to maintain maximum flow while accommodating structural and ergonomic requirements.Material: 316L Stainless Steel – excellent corrosion resistanceSealing: PTFE – superior chemical durabilityDesign: Dual-row ball bearings – critical for smooth movement and load supportThese swivels allowed the loading arm to swing easily from the wall and extend to the back of the tanker by hand, despite the heavy load. A clear example of engineering making an operator’s job easier and safer.

Flexible Hose – Built for Real-World Conditions
Connecting the rigid arm to the truck, each stainless steel hose provided the flexibility needed to adjust for small variations in truck positioning.This flexibility ensures a reliable connection every time, even when exact alignment isn’t possible a real-world challenge that this system now solves with ease.

MannTek Couplings – Quick, Safe, Spill-FreeAt the end of each hose sits a MannTek dry disconnect coupling, making the final connection fast and secure:
- Simply push the hose unit onto the truck’s tank unit
- Give it a turn
- Flow starts, with no spillage and minimal effort
All coupling components were made from stainless steel, with EPDM and PTFE seals for compatibility with the media.

Certified & Tested – Confidence Delivered
To give the customer full confidence:
- Material certificates were provided for all components
- Hoses and couplings were pressure tested before delivery
- Swivel joints (supplied with butt weld ends) were tested on-site after integration into the system
All products met or exceeded the necessary quality and performance standards on schedule.
A Seamless System, Delivered On Time
The result? A fully functioning, operator-friendly bottom loading system that met tight timelines and rigorous technical requirements.
