Built as a custom flow deflector screen, each baffle is engineered to the exact dimensions of your clarifier. Modules assemble vertically on rail guides, so panels lift out easily for cleaning without dismantling the whole screen. An omega-profile fixing absorbs wall irregularities, and food-grade aluminium and stainless steel construction suits potable water. The same design also suits grit chambers and decanters.

In a clarifier, effective settlement depends on more than the tank itself — flow needs to stay even right up to the outlet, and floating scum or carry-over solids need to be held back before the effluent leaves the tank. The Wastewater Clarifier Baffle is fitted near the outlet end to do exactly this: it acts as a scum baffle, retaining floating material while evening out flow across the tank, so settlement performance holds up all the way to discharge.
The same construction also works as a general flow deflector screen in other compartments, grit chambers and decanters, where guiding flow evenly and separating solids from the flow path matters just as much.
Every baffle is engineered to the exact dimensions of the clarifier compartment it sits in, rather than supplied as a generic size. Panels assemble vertically using rail guides, in modules that lift in and out easily, so your team can remove sections for cleaning or maintenance without dismantling the whole screen.
An omega-profile fixing system absorbs irregularities in the surrounding concrete walls, so the screen fits properly even where the compartment isn’t perfectly true. Installation heigh can be adjusted using easily set stops, and modules arrive pre-assembled to minimise on-site installation work.
The panel is built from EN AW 6063 aluminium, an aluminium-magnesium-silicon alloy approved for food-grade (alimentary) use. Perimeter frames and fixings use AISI 316L stainless steel, also suited to sanitary applications. Where the screen is used in water, a 25-micron anodised finish is applied to Qualanod quality standard (or equivalent) for added protection. Every design is calculated using matrix and finite element analysis and supplied with drawings and mounting instructions specific to that installation, so it suits compartments of different shapes and geometries.
Compared with GRP (glass-reinforced plastic) baffles, the Wastewater Clarifier Baffle offers several practical advantages:
For UK clarifiers needing reliable scum retention and even flow distribution at the outlet, this baffle offers a lighter, food-grade alternative to GRP screens, built to your compartment’s exact dimensions rather than sold as a generic fit. The same design also suits grit chambers and decanters requiring flow deflection.
